Featuring a book by George Abbott and Jerome Weidman, music by Jerry Bock and lyrics by Sheldon Harnick, the limited engagement will play five performances March 7-9 at The York Theatre Company’s home at Saint Peter’s.

Directed by Carl Andress, the 14-member cast will comprise Jennifer Cody, Katie Rose Clarke, Mark Jacoby, Jillian Louis, Michael McCormick Marcy McGuigan, Diane Phelan, Wayne Pretlow, Jay Russell, Tally Sessions, Kendal Sparks, Max Von Essen, Debra Walton and Zakiya Young.

Christopher McGovern is the music director; casting is by Geoff Josselson.

Tenderloin, based on a novel by Samuel Hopkins Adams, "tells the tale of Dr. Brock, a crusading Minister who has dedicated himself to cleaning up that section of New York devoted to vice, the area known as the 'Tenderloin,'" according to press notes. "Naturally, those whose livelihoods depended on that vice dedicated themselves to seeing that Dr. Brock didn’t succeed."

"We are a little sad to be at the final production of our Sheldon Harnick Musicals in Mufti Series, but that it is this wonderful show with this incredible cast makes it a happy ending indeed! Tenderloin has not been seen in a [fully staged] professional production in New York City in over 20 years — and this is everyone's chance to see it with a stunning Broadway cast,” said producing artistic director James Morgan in a statement.

Tickets are priced at $45 ($31.50 for York Members) and are available online at www.yorktheatre.org, by calling (212) 935-5820, or in person at the box office at the York Theatre Company at Saint Peter’s (entrance on East 54th Street, just east of Lexington Avenue).
