News MCC and LaBute Deck Thanksgiving Table with a Fat Pig, Beginning Nov. 23 The MCC Theater production of Fat Pig, the latest drama by that corrosive critic of American culture, Neil LaBute, will begin previews Nov. 23 at the Lucille Lortel Theatre.

The cast features Jeremy Piven — of "Entourage" and "Ellen" fame — Keri Russell, Andrew McCarthy and Ashlie Atkinson. Fat Pig is directed by Jo Bonney. Opening night is Dec. 15, and the play will run through Jan. 15, 2005.

Fat Pig concerns a man (Piven) who falls in love with an overweight woman (Atkinson) but begins to rethink his feelings when others (McCarthy and Russell) ridicule her.

Fat Pig will mark the stage debut for Russell, who is best known for her work as Felicity Porter on the TV series "Felicity." Atkinson is another stage newcomer, who has appeared on "Law & Order" and currently has a recurring role on "Rescue Me." Film star Andrew McCarthy was seen on Broadway in The Boys of Winter and Side Man.

LaBute's other plays include bash, The Shape of Things and The Mercy Seat.
