News MCC Theater Announces Carrie Video Contest and Discounted Tickets MCC Theater has announced the launch of a new video contest to win VIP tickets to the opening-night performance of the revamped cult musical Carrie, which will rock the Lucille Lortel Theatre beginning Jan. 31 Off-Broadway.

The Carrie Anticipation Contest is asking fans to record a personal video via YouTube explaining why they are excited to see the newly revised production of the 1988 musical based on the Stephen King novel. The winning entry will win VIP tickets (including after-party access) to Carrie's opening-night performance Off-Broadway March 1 at the Lucille Lortel Theatre. Click here to enter.

MCC Theater also announced that tickets to Carrie are now on sale for its "$20 Under 30" program, which makes discounted tickets available to young theatregoers.

Tony Award nominee Marin Mazzie (Next to Normal, Passion, Ragtime) stars as Margaret White, opposite Molly Ranson (Jerusalem, August: Osage County) in the titular role. Stafford Arima (Altar Boyz, Tin Pan Alley Rag, Somewhere in Time, London's Ragtime) directs. Bookwriter Lawrence D. Cohen (who penned the original screenplay), composer Michael Gore and lyricist Dean Pitchford have reworked Carrie since New Yorkers caught a brief Broadway glimpse of the musical in 1988.

Carrie will also feature Christy Altomare, Carmen Cusack, Jeanna de Waal, Derek Klena, Ben Thompson, Wayne Wilcox, Corey Boardman, Blair Goldberg, F. Michael Haynie, Andy Mientus, Elly Noble, Jen Sese, Mackenzie Bell, Jake Boyd and Anne Tolpegin.

The creative team includes Matt Williams (choreography), Mary-Mitchell Campbell (music direction and arrangements), David Zinn (set design), Emily Rebholz (costume design), Kevin Adams (lighting design), Sven Ortel (projections design), Jonathan Deans (sound design), Doug Besterman (orchestrations), AnnMarie Milazzo (vocal design), Leah J.
