Scott, who is currently playing Ursula in the new Disney musical The Little Mermaid, will offer a one-night-only performance of a collection of musical short stories. Entitled You May Now Worship Me, the evening was conceived and written by Scott and Tony nominee Dick Scanlan.

Tony Award winner Michael Mayer will direct the 8 PM performance, which will feature musical direction by Tom Kitt.

You May Now Worship Me, according to press notes, is "Scott's collection of deeply personal stories. From her childhood in Topeka to her eventual rise to Broadway semi-star, this is her truth, her whole truth, and nothing but her truth… only better. Featuring songs made famous by such icons as Judy Garland, Rickie Lee Jones, Tom Waits, and Mr. Rogers, You May Worship Me Now reminds us that none of us are in Kansas anymore."

Sherie Rene Scott has been seen on Broadway in The Who's Tommy, Grease, Rent, Aida and Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, earning a Tony nomination for her work in the latter. Her other theatrical credits include The Last Five Years, Debbie Does Dallas, Elaborate Lives, Faust and Over and Over. Scott won a Lucille Lortel Award for Outstanding Featured Actress for her work in Landscape of the Body.
