Migdalia Cruz's Razing Houses will be read May 21 at 7:30 PM as the final selection in the Women Playwrights Festival presented by Seattle's A Contemporary Theatre (ACT) and Whidbey Island's Hedgebrook, a retreat for women writers. The festival readings are in the Bullit Cabaret. Six nationally-known women playwrights, Darrah Cloud, Kia Corthron, Migdalia Cruz, Joann Farias, Naomi Iizuka and Lizzie Olesker were selected from a competitive pool of 55 applicants from across the country to participate in the festival. The Cruz reading is directed by Ellen Graham
