With Homer as MacBeth and Marge as his Lady, Rick Miller launches into his one man comedy, Machomer: The Simpsons Do Macbeth. The Canadian writer-actor brings his unique vision of William Shakespeare's tragedy to Maryland's Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center in College Park Jan. 29.

Machomer is "85 Percent Shakespeare" with Homer playing Macbeth, Marge as Lady Macbeth and cameos from 50 favorite residents of Springfield, transforming one of Shakespeare's bloodiest meditations on ambition and greed into a one-man tour-de-force. Miller was inspired to craft the Simpson's MacBeth in 1994 when he got bored backstage waiting to go on as Murderer #2.

Miller's other credits include Art?, babaloo&ganoosh, Slightly Bent and voice work on "Mona the Vampire" and "Turtle Island." He most recently appeared in the Soulpepper Theatre's production of Present Laughter.

Tickets are $20. For reservations, call (301) 405-ARTS. MacHomer is on the web at http://www.machomer.com.
