Previews began Sept. 3; opening night was Sept. 18. The Off-Broadway production stars Patinkin (Evita, Sunday in the Park With George) as magic-making Prospero, who lends his singing voice to the role. CSC artistic director Brian Kulick directs. Original music and sound design are by Christian Frederickson. CSC's intimate home is located at 136 East 13th Street in Manhattan. Performances were originally to play to Oct. 12.

The Tempest is performed Tuesday through Fridays at 8 PM; Saturdays at 2 PM and 8 PM and Sundays at 2 PM. Additional performances have been added Sept. 28 & Oct. 12 at 7:30 PM. There are no performances Sept. 30 and Oct. 8.
