Bassett will be part of the Broadway Talks with Jordan Roth series, which is hosted by Roth, president of Jujamcyn Theaters, at the 92nd Street Y. The conversation with Bassett is scheduled for Oct. 23 at 7:30 PM; the actress will discuss her upcoming Broadway debut as well as her career on the silver screen.

Academy Award nominee Jackson will be part of The New York Times’ TimesTalks event series. Jackson will sit down with New York Times media columnist David Carr at TheTimesCenter Oct. 24 at 6:30 PM. Jackson will discuss his film career as well as his upcoming return to the stage in the Olivier Award-winning Mountaintop, in which he will play Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

The Mountaintop, directed by Tony Award nominee Kenny Leon (Fences, A Raisin in the Sun), will begin performances Sept. 22 at the Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre (242 West 45th Street), with an official opening Oct. 13.
