News Movin' Out and Grease Star Cody Green Wins Bravo's "Step It Up & Dance" Competition Broadway's Cody Green was named the winner of Bravo television's "Step It Up & Dance" reality dance competition June 5.

Green was among 12 dancers who competed in mastering dance styles from ballet and ballroom, to Broadway and burlesque on a weekly basis. The series, hosted by Elizabeth Berkley (Sly Fox, "Showgirls"), boasted a panel of judges including Vincent Paterson, Nancy O'Meara and Tony Award-winning mentor Jerry Mitchell.

Currently appearing in the Broadway revival of Grease!, Green is also know for his athletic dance work in Twyla Tharp and Billy Joel's Movin' Out, playing Eddie on Broadway and in London. His credits also include the national tour of Mamma Mia! and Julie Taymor's "Across the Universe." Future plans for the Julliard-trained dancer include appearances in the films "Center Stage 2" and "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button."

"When they said my name, my legs just buckled under me. After the last two dance challenges I felt I had fallen out of favor with the judges and wasn't expecting to win. I definitely danced my heart out, I left it all out on the dance floor," Green said of his win, which includes a $100,000 grand prize.

One of Green's competitors for the series was Lion King and "Enchanted" cast member Michelle Aguilar Camaya. The versatile duo proved to be the clear front-runners early on in the series that challenged dancers with varying ranges of dance experience.

Various challenges for the series included sessions with Stomp Out Loud creator Luke Cresswell, and Los Angeles Reprise Theatre Company's Jason Alexander and Lee Martino, who put the dancers to the test with choreography from Damn Yankees. Created by Gunnar Wetterberg, "Step It Up" was produced by Dan Cutforth (Emmy-nominated "Project Runway" and "Top Chef") and Jane Lipsitz.

"Step It Up & Dance" premiered on Bravo April 3. For further information visit
