The cast of the MTV series "The Hills," including Lauren Conrad, Audrina Patridge and Whitney Port, will host the pre-show Pink Carpet in front of Broadway's Palace Theatre. The pre-show event will also feature appearances by "America's Next Top Model" CariDee, actress Keke Palmer, musician Kat DeLuna, "tween" stars the Rosso Twins and the chart-topping pop band the Plain White T's.

In addition to the Pink Carpet event, the upcoming MTV broadcast of Legally Blonde will feature special interviews with the cast before the show and will provide a backstage, behind-the-scenes look at the musical.

Legally Blonde will premiere on MTV Sept. 29 with subsequent repeated airings scheduled to follow.

Last week MTV provided fans with the opportunity to receive free tickets for the Sept. 18 taping. The audience will be filled with pink-clad 15-25 year-olds cheering on Elle Woods and her pal Bruiser.

Directed and choreographed by Tony Award winner Jerry Mitchell, Legally Blonde features Bundy (Hairspray, Wicked) as Elle Woods, Christian Borle (Spamalot) as Emmett, Orfeh (Saturday Night Fever) as Paulette, Richard H. Blake (The Wedding Singer) as Warner, Kate Shindle (Cabaret) as Vivienne, Nikki Snelson (Off-Broadway's How to Save the World…) as Brooke and Tony Award winner Michael Rupert (Sweet Charity, The Happy Time, Ragtime) as Professor Callahan.

Legally Blonde has music and lyrics by both Laurence O'Keefe (Bat Boy: The Musical, Cam Jansen and the Curse of the Emerald Elephant, Sarah, Plain and Tall) and Nell Benjamin (Cam Jansen, Sarah, Plain and Tall, The Mice) and a book by Heather Hach (the film "Freaky Friday"). James Sampliner serves as music director. Orchestrations are by Christopher Jahnke.
