News Much Ado About Nothing Ends Park Run Aug. 8 Jimmy Smits, as the cocky Benedick, and Kristen Johnston, as the stubborn Beatrice, kiss and make up for the last time Aug. 8, as the Public Theater revival of the Bard's Much Ado About Nothing ends its run at Central Park's Delacorte Theater.

Previews began June 22. David Esbjornson directs. Also in the cast are Brian Murray as doltish constable Dogberry, Sam Waterston as local lord Leonato, Elizabeth Waterston (Sam's daughter) as his virginal daughter Hero, Dominic Chianese ("The Sopranos") as Antonio, and Sean Patrick Thomas as Borachio. Rounding out the ensemble are Laura Kai Chen, Manoel Felciano, Frank Faucett, Bill Heck, Andre Holland, Jayne Houdyshell (Obie winner for Well), Peter Francis James, Kevin Kelly, Dane Knell, Peter McCain, Julio Monge, Lorenzo Pisoni, Steven Skybell, Emily Swallow and Christopher Evan Welch (Measure for Measure, Othello).

Much Ado has scenic design by Christine Jones, costume design by Jess Goldstein, lighting design by Michael Chybowski, music by Mark Bennett, choreography by Jane Comfort and sound design by Acme Sound Partners.
