News Murray Will Be Mama Morton in London's Chicago; Shaw Extends Suzanne Shaw, who assumed the role of Roxie Hart in the West End production of Kander and Ebb's Chicago June 2, has extended her run in the show for a further four weeks and will now remain in the hit revival through Aug. 9.

Shaw is currently starring alongside Anna-Jane Casey as Velma, Terence Maynard as Billy Flynn and Victor McGuire as Amos Hart. Gina Murray (who played Georgie Bukatinsky in the London run of The Full Monty) will take over as Matron "Mama" Morton on July 14, at the completion of the current contract of Sue Kelvin. Shaw, who recently won series three of the ITV series "Dancing on Ice," has previously appeared on the London stage in Summer Holiday, as the Narrator in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat at the New London Theatre and as Janet Weiss in The Rocky Horror Show. She first came to prominence as a winner of the TV talent show "Popstars," out of which she became a member of Hear'Say, a group created out of people who had appeared on the show. Though they sold more than three million records worldwide, but they broke up 18 months after they were formed.
