Stationed at Glendale’s Alex Theatre, the resident company in its ninth season MTG will continue to perform at the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza and expand to include a new venue in Long Beach's Carpenter Performing Arts Center. The company is known for its concert stagings of rarely-produced musicals. The season is scheduled as follows:

  • My Favorite Year - (Sept. 20 at the Alex, Oct. 3 in Thousand Oaks)
    Book by Joseph Dougherty

    Music by Stephen Flaherty
    Based on the film of the same name.
  • Redhead - (Nov. 22 - Alex, Nov. 29 - Carpenter)
    Book by David Shaw, Dorothy Fields, Herbert Fields and Sidney Sheldon
    Lyrics by Dorothy Fields
    Music by Albert Hague
    The Tony Award-winning musical made famous by Bob Fosse and star Gwen Verdon.
  • Roberta - (Feb. 21, 2005 - Alex, Feb. 27 - Thousand Oaks, March 7 - Carpenter)
    Music by Jerome Kern
    Book and lyrics by Otto Harbach
    Adapted from Alice Duer Miller's novel "Gowns by Roberta," the show originally starred Bob Hope.
  • Sail Away - (April 11, 2005 - Alex, April 24 - Thousand Oaks, April 25 - Carpenter)
    Book, music and lyrics by Noel Coward
    A vehicle for Elaine Stritch centering on a cruise director who finds love.
  • The Wild Party - (June 6, 2005 - Alex)
    Music and lyrics by Michael John LaChuisa
    Book by LaChuisa and George C. Wolfe
