LOS ANGELES -- New York's Naked Angels theatre company returns with a collection of one-act plays under the umbrella title Winter Shorts 2 . It will run for a limited engagement at the Tiffany Theatre, Feb. 13-March 2.
In 1997 the group visited at the Actors Gang Theatre, performing various short plays which won respectful notices.
Produced by Naked Angels company members Merrill Holtzman and Serena Hedison, Winter Shorts 2 will feature eight plays by such writers as Ann Washburn, John Sayles, Bill Wrubel and Pippin Parker, among others. The overall emphasis is on comedy.
The directors include Amanda Charlton, Charlie Stratton and Josh Hamilton. Such actors as Taro Alexander, Barry Del Sherman, Rebecca O'Brien, Reed Rudy and Kelly Wolf will be seen in the plays.
Naked Angels was founded in 1986 by a small group of young theatre professionals. The company now includes over 45 actors, writers, directors and designers, including such notables as Jon Robin Baitz, Joe Mantello, Mathew Broderick and Ron Rifkin.
