Her Broadway roles have included that of Sally Bowles in Sam Mendes' internationally successful production of Cabaret for which she won the Tony Award for Best Actress, and Anna in Closer, written and directed by Patrick Marber.

Other theatre credits include David Leveaux' production of Anna Christie which subsequently transferred to Broadway, Richard Eyre's production of High Society and Charles Sturridge's production of The Seagull.

The Lady From the Sea will be Sir Trevor's first production after leaving the National Theatre.
