News Nathan Lane Out of The Producers Feb. 9-10 Still suffering from the vocal problems that have plagued him for over three months, Nathan Lane will be out of The Producers for the entire Feb. 9-10 weekend. As usual, Brad Oscar, Lane's understudy who normally plays the role of Nazi playwright Franz, will assume the role of Max Bialystock, the lead in 2001's Tony winner for best musical.

Still suffering from the vocal problems that have plagued him for over three months, Nathan Lane will be out of The Producers for the entire Feb. 9-10 weekend. As usual, Brad Oscar, Lane's understudy who normally plays the role of Nazi playwright Franz, will assume the role of Max Bialystock, the lead in 2001's Tony winner for best musical. Oscar performed the same duties the previous weekend, when Lane was also out on vocal rest.

Ticket refunds or exchanges can be made at the point of purchase.

It was announced this week that following the expiration of Lane's and co-star Matthew Broderick's contract March 17, the lead roles of Bialystock and Leo Bloom will go to British thespian Henry Goodman and TV's Steven Weber, respectively.
