Aldon James, the president of The National Arts Club, will present the In the Heights co-creator and star with a gold medal for "his outstanding work in In the Heights as an actor, creator, composer and lyricist."
Miranda is scheduled to speak at the evening, which begins at 7:30 PM. In the Heights cast members, producers and friends and family of Miranda are expected to attend.
Previous National Arts Club honorees include George and Ira Gershwin, Marvin Hamlisch, Patrick Stewart, Barbara Cook and Christopher Plummer.
Lin-Manuel Miranda is currently nominated for two 2008 Tony Awards: Best Original Score and Best Performance By a Leading Actor in a Musical.
