The Ryan Murphy-Allison Adler comedy "The New Normal" starred Book of Mormon Tony nominee Rannells and stage and screen actor Justin Bartha (Lend Me a Tenor) as a couple longing for a child.
The cast also included Georgia King, Bebe Wood, NeNe Leakes and Tony winner Ellen Barkin.
The Matthew Perry sitcom "Go On" also featured Benanti as Lauren, John Cho as Steven, Tony winner Julie White as Annie, Brett Gelman as Mr. K, Suzy Nakamura as Yolanda and Tyler James Williams as Owen.
"Go On" was created by Emmy Award-winning writer/executive producer Scott Silveri ("Perfect Couples," "Friends"). Todd Holland ("Malcolm in the Middle"), Karey Nixon ("Free Agents," "Miss/Guided") and Jon Pollack ("Up All Night," "30 Rock") served as executive producers.
The situation comedy "1600 Penn," which co-starred Book of Mormon Tony nominee Gad as Skip Gilchrist, also featured Bill Pullman as President Dale Gilchrist, Jenna Elfman as Emily Gilchrist, Martha MacIsaac as Becca Gilchrist, Amara Miller as Marigold Gilchrist, Benjamin Stockham as Xander Gilchrist and Andre Holland as Marshall Malloy.
"1600 Penn," from Emmy-winning executive producer/director Jason Winer ("Modern Family"), was produced by 20th Century Fox. The executive producers are Winer, Gad and Jon Lovett (former White House speechwriter). Winer also directed the pilot.
