NBC stations in the metropolitan area will broadcast highlights from this year's Broadway on Broadway concert. The annual, free outdoor concert that highlights numbers from most every Broadway musical took place Sunday, Sept. 15 at 11:30 AM in New York's Times Square. On Tuesday, Sept. 17 NBC will offer a 60-minute special featuring selections from the afternoon, which was hosted by Rent's Joey Fatone and Hairspray's Marissa Jaret Winokur.
Among the musicals that performed were Oklahoma!, Into the Woods Chicago, Thoroughly Modern Millie, The Producers, The Lion King, Les Misérables and The Phantom of the Opera. Performances from upcoming musicals were also on the roster, including numbers from Flower Drum Song, Amour, Movin' Out and Man of La Mancha.
NBC has scheduled its Broadway on Broadway telecast for 7 to 8 PM. Check local listings.
