Cast Recordings & Albums NBC’s Rise to Release Weekly Cast Recordings The first release includes an original song by Lin-Manuel Miranda and performances by Auli’i Cravalho and Damon J. Gillespie.

In anticipation of its premiere March 13,NBC’s Rise has announced the weekly release of original cast recordings from the cast of the theatre-focused series.

Beginning March 9, Atlantic Records will release the tracks featured on the upcoming Tuesday episode each Friday. The March 9 release includes music from the March 13 premiere.

The recordings will be a mix of songs performed in each episode by the students of Stanton High School as they rehearse for their production of Spring Awakening, as well as covers of non-musical theatre tracks that play throughout the episode, also recorded by the cast.

In addition to a version of Mackelmore’s “Glorious,” featured in the video above, the March 9 release also includes “I Believe” from Spring Awakening and a medley from the musical, a rendition of “Just Breathe” by Pearl Jam, and “Football Freestyle,”a piece written for the series by Lin-Manuel Miranda.

The cast includes Josh Radnor, Rosie Perez, Auli’i Cravalho, Damon J. Gillespie, Marley Shelton, Rarmian Newton, Ted Sutherland, Amy Forsyth, Casey W. Johnson, Taylor Richardson, Joe Tippett, and Shirley Rumierk. “Glorious” features Cravalho and Gillespie, who play two of Stanton’s students and the leads in their Spring Awakening.

The Rise musical releases are produced by five-time Grammy nominee and Atlantic Records' West Coast President Kevin Weaver and A&R President Pete Ganbarg, alongside Tony and Pulitzer Prize winner Tom Kitt (Next To Normal, If/Then) and Rise music producer Scott Riesett. Series creator and executive producer Jason Katims and executive producer Jeffrey Seller serve as executive producers of the albums. Grammy nominee Liza Richardson is the series’ music supervisor.
