SAN DIEGO -- You can send a live love poem to a cherished one, courtesy of the San Diego Actors Theatre.

In a fund-raising promotion called Love Poems From the Angels, the theatre will provide an actor in angel garb with wings and halo to perform a Shakespearean or other love sonnet for the person of your choice. The cost of the personal delivery is $50. SDAT will also recite poetry over a phone line for $20.

"This new project was very popular during the Valentine's Day holiday season and we expect it to continue in its popularity with upcoming weddings, birthdays, anniversaries or Mother's and Father's Day," said a theatre spokesperson. "You choose the special occasion. The possibilities are limitless."

The theatre's next children's show is Turkey for Thanksgiving, which plays Nov. 14 & 18 at the L'Auberge Del Mar Garden Ampitheatre, 1540 Camino Del Mar, Del Mar. Performances are at 11 AM. Call (619) 268-4494.
