Wolfe, Bob Balaban, Marc Shaiman, Daphne Rubin-Vega and Yul Vasquez join LAByrinth Theater Company’s Philip Seymour Hoffman and John Ortiz for the third edition of "Celebrity Charades," Sept. 26.

The downtown company's third annual benefit featuring the signature "Celebrity Charades" will take place Sept. 26 at the Public Theater and St. Patrick’s Youth Center. This year's event, subtitled "Old School," will also honor Ira Pittelman with The Dave Hoghe Award for his "artistic courage and outstanding dedication to LAByrinth Theater Company."

The "Old School" evening begins with a thematic Tailgate at the Public Theater with cocktails and hors d’oeuvres served 6:30-8:30 PM in the LuEsther Theater while attendees bid on silent auction items. Then, at 8:30 PM, all guests will hop aboard a school bus to the Big Game at St. Patrick’s Youth Center where cheerleaders and a live marching band will kick off a live auction before the main event begins.

Celebrities currently slated to silently battle include co-artistic director Philip Seymour Hoffman (Long Day's Journey Into Night), Bebe Neuwirth (Here Lies Jenny), Brad Garrett (the upcoming The Odd Couple), Kyra Sedgwick ("The Closer"), director George C. Wolfe, Bob Balaban (Romance), designer Cynthia Rowley, composer Marc Shaiman, Daphne Rubin-Vega (Rent) and Yul Vasquez (The Last Days of Judas Iscariot) with more names to be added shortly. (All artists are subject to change.)

The Dave Hogue Award has previously been presented to Madonna and George C. Wolfe by the LAByrinth Theater Company at prior events.
