News New London Production of Rent to Feature Steph Fearon Steph Fearon, who reached the semi-finals of the BBC TV's "Over the Rainbow" search to find a Dorothy for The Wizard of Oz, is to play Mimi in a new London production of Rent that will begin performances Sept. 5 at Greenwich Theatre, prior to an official opening Sept. 7, for a run through Sept. 16.

Produced by Paul Taylor-Mills in association with Greenwich Theatre, Taylor-Mills also directs. He has previously directed Little Shop of Horrors at the White Bear and A Clockwork Orange and One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest (both at the Lost Theatre); the European premiere of My Big Gay Italian Wedding (at London's Above The Stag and Edinburgh's C Venues); and The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas (at the Union Theatre). Fearon's other credits include Smokey Joe's Cafe (Landor), Dorothy in a production of the The Wiz at Milton Keynes Theatre, Dorothy in a U.K. tour of The Wizard of Oz, Diana Morales in A Chorus Line at the Tel Aviv Opera House, Israel, Whistle Down the Wind (the West End's Aldwych) and The Wind in the Willows (Open Air Theatre, Regent's Park).
