Entitled "Outtasite," 11-track disc boasts the singing-actress backed by her band RIPLEY, which features Ripley on guitar, Christopher Schelling on keyboards and Shannon Ford on drums. Song titles include "Miss America," "Outtasite," "Charismatic," "When I'm Olde," "Arthur," "Wicked Torch," "Sonny," "Dangerous," "Ode to a Bad Guy," "Dear Jane" and "Sonny Strings." The CD, available on the Shellac Records label, features complete lyrics.

About her newest recording, Ripley recently told Playbill.com, "[The disc gives voice] to my inner demons. That's the unifying theme. It's noisy, but I think the lyrics have an impact."

Ripley, who starred in the Paper Mill Playhouse's production of The Baker's Wife, has appeared on Broadway in Side Show (Tony nomination), The Rocky Horror Show, James Joyce's The Dead, Sunset Boulevard, The Who's Tommy, Les Misérables and in the City Center Encores! production of Li'l Abner. She has also been seen in Tell Me On a Sunday, Company, Shakespeare in Hollywood, The Fabulous Invalid and Five Flights. Ripley's non-show recordings include two discs with Side Show co-star Emily Skinner — "Duets" and "Unsuspecting Hearts" — and a recording of her own compositions, "Everything's Fine."

"Outtasite" is now available for purchase on iTunes, CDBaby and Pandora.com. For more about the band RIPLEY, visit myspace.com/ripleytheband.
