LOS ANGELES -- A new romantic comedy about being more than just friends, I Know You Are, But What Am I?, opens Mar. 3 at the Tiffany Theatre and plays through April 21 on Tuesday nights only.
Written by Dan Bucatinsky and directed by Don Amendolia, I Know You Are, But What Am I? is a one-act play for two characters.
The actors are Bucatinsky and Nicole Tocantins. The former received positive reviews L.A. and N.Y. for his play Fear of Crashing , which was later adapted for the HBO Special "On the Ledge. " Tocantins has been seen on TV's " Saturday Night Live" and other shows.
Bucatinsky's play tells the tale "of Jason and Susan, who are both smart, attractive and inching dangerously close to their 30s. An innocent blind date leaves one of them knee-deep in anxiety and self-doubt and the other wondering where they parked their car," said a company spokesperson.
"Jason and Susan take us along on their sometimes painful but always hilarious journey as they try to avoid the word 'relationship.'" Susan Dietz is the show's producer.
The Tiffany Theatre is at 8532 Sunst Blvd. in W. Hollywood. Performances are at 8 PM. For tickets, $15, call (310) 289-2999.
