Classic Arts News Newly Discovered Autograph Vivaldi Concerto Gets Its Modern Premiere Tonight in Spain The XXVI Festival of Torroella de Montegr‹ on Spain's Costa Brava will tonight open with a newly authenticated version of a Vivaldi violin concerto.
Europa Press reports that the German period-instrument ensemble Harmonie Universelle, founded and directed by violinist Florian Deuter, will premiere the new version of the work. The autographed manuscript of the concerto for violin, strings and basso continuo in D minor was discovered in Dresden by the musicologist Olivier Four_s.

According to Europa Press, the new manuscript differs in some details from previous editions, although it doesn't specify how.
