News Next, An Evening of Barbara Anselmi Songs, to Play Duplex Theatre; Casting Announced The songs of composer-lyricist Barbara Anselmi will be the focus of Next: Now Entering the Crossroads of Theatre, July 7 at 7 PM at the Duplex Theatre.

Singers scheduled for the evening include Mamie Parris, Alicia Krakauer, Sam Heldt,
Tala al-Khudhairi, Andrew Barbato, Stephanie Card, Sarah Cooney, Matt Dengler, Collin Leydon, Steven Joshua Thompson and Mathieu Whitman.

Anselmi's work for the musical theatre includes The Orphan Train, It Shoulda Been You and A Christmas Carol. "All Join Together," a song she wrote in reaction to the events of September 11, 2001, was used as the title song on an album that raised $30,000 for the New York Times 9/11 Fund, according to her MySpace page.

The concert will be followed by a NEXT networking event.
