Yorkey, who penned the book and lyrics to Broadway's Next to Normal, is working with Sting on an original project about "the world Sting grew up in, but that it is not expressly autobiographical." Yorkey's representatives did not respond to a request for comment.

The project would mark Sting's Broadway writing debut. He previously appeared in the 1989 revival of Threepenny Opera. His work was also featured in the 1982 revue Rock 'N Roll! The First 5,000 Years.

As previously reported, Yorkey is also at work on an original musical project with his fellow Tony and Pulitzer-winning Next to Normal collaborator, composer Tom Kitt. Wicked and Next to Normal producer David Stone is also on board.
