News North London's Tricycle Theatre Goes Ten Rounds Sept. 23

The Tricycle Theatre, one of North London's best known fringe venues which specializes in theatre with Irish themes, launches its autumn season on Sept. 23 with the press night of Ten Rounds.

Partly based on La Ronde (as was the better known The Blue Room) and set in Northern Ireland against the backdrop of the Peace Process, Ten Rounds is by Carlo Gebler, directed by Nicholas Kent and has a cast that includes Stephen Boxer and Brid Brennan.

Dealing with the contradictions of political life, the play examines the lives and loves of a prostitute, a bomb maker, a police intelligence gatherer, an au pair and various others: a chain of events and sexual liaisons that lead to political dynamite.
