The NYPD and the Times Square Business Improvement District (TS-BID) have issued a traffic advisory for Tue., Nov. 16, 5 PM-7:30 PM. That is when film actor and recording artist Will Smith is expected to make an appearance at the Virgin Mega Store on Broadway between West 45th Street and West 46th Street.
TS-BID said that a stage will be built in front of the Virgin Mega Store and a press riser will be set up on the fence island across from the stage.
"We expect Will Smith to attract an extremely large crowd which will cause congestion in the area," the TS-BID advised.
Theatre patrons may want to adjust their travel plans in the Times Square area to allow for possible delays on the afternoon and early evening of Nov. 16.
