"What if falling in love with the wrong person was the best thing you've ever done?" production notes ask. "Jane and Danny, two drifting New Yorkers, identify themselves as gay until their friendship catches their hearts off guard. A political protest against the ban on same-sex marriage ignites an unlikely and heartbreaking romance in An Octopus Love Story." Mike Klar directs the production at Center Stage (48 West 21st Street, between Fifth and Sixth Avenues) in Manhattan. Opening is May 5.

The cast includes Michael Cyril Creighton, Andrew Dawson, Jenny Greer, Kelli Holsopple, Eric Kuehnemann, Krista Sutton and Josh Tyson.

The production team consists of Brian Sidney Bembridge (scenic design), Heather Klar (costume design) and John Wolf (lighting design).
