News O'Hare and Carter From Old Vic Production Round Out Misbegotten Cast The cast for the upcoming Broadway production of Eugene O'Neill's A Moon for the Misbegotten is complete, and will be exactly the same as that of the recent Old Vic production in London.

Billy Carter and Eugene O'Hare will reprise their roles as T Stedman Harder and Mike Hogan, respectively, alongside previously announced Eve Best, Kevin Spacey and Colm Meaney.

Carter's credits include Translations at the National Theatre, Bruises at the Royal Court and Macbeth at the Almeida. O'Hare has appeared at the National Theatre in Translations, at the Old Vic Studios in The Next Big Thing and in productions at the Abbey Theatre in Dublin, among other venues.

A Moon for the Misbegotten will begin previews at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre on March 29, open April 8 and close June 10.

Howard Davies, who directed the London run at the Old Vic — where Spacey is artistic director — will repeat his duties on Broadway. Spacey will again play James Tyrone Jr. in the play, which will mark his third O'Neill on Broadway. The actor was previously seen in Long Day's Journey Into Night and The Iceman Cometh.

A Moon for the Misbegotten, according to press notes, "tells the shattering story of Josie Hogan (Best), a towering woman with a quick tongue and a ruined reputation who lives in a dilapidated Connecticut farmhouse with her conniving father, Phil (Meaney). During one long moonlit night fueled by drink and lust, Josie's softer side is exposed through her feelings for Hogan's landlord Jim Tyrone (Spacey), and two implacable souls reveal to each other the grief, longing and unrequited love they've hidden from the world." The design team for the Broadway production comprises Bob Crowley (scenic design), Lynette Mauro (costume design), Mark Henderson (lighting design) and Christopher Shutt (sound design). Dominic Muldowney penned original music; the sound system design is by T. Richard Fitzgerald and Carl Casella.

A Moon for the Misbegotten premiered on Broadway in 1957 and was most recently seen in 2000 with a cast led by Cherry Jones, Roy Dotrice and Gabriel Byrne.

Kevin Spacey won a Tony Award for his performance in Neil Simon's Lost in Yonkers and was Tony-nominated for his work in The Iceman Cometh. His other Broadway credits include Long Day's Journey Into Night, Hurlyburly and Ghosts. A two-time Oscar winner for his performances in "American Beauty" and "The Usual Suspects," Spacey is currently the artistic director of London's Old Vic Theatre.

Performances will be Tuesday-Saturday evenings at 7 PM with matinees Wednesdays and Saturdays at 2 PM and Sundays at 3 PM. Same-day student seats will be available to those under 25 on the day of the performance at the box office for $26.50.

The Brooks Atkinson Theatre is located in Manhattan at 256 West 47th Street. Tickets are currently available to American Express card members, and will be available to the general public starting Feb. 4 at Ticketmaster.com or at (212) 307-4100.
