The Old Globe's 13th annual production of Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas! begins its run at the acclaimed San Diego regional theatre Nov. 20 with an official opening set for Nov. 26. Performances play to Dec. 26.

James Vasquez directs a cast led by Jeff Skowron, returning for a second year as the green-fur-covered anti-Christmas character. The cast also features Logan Lipton (Young Max), Martin Van Treuren (Old Max), Remy Margaret Corbin and Shea Starrs Siben (Cindy-Lou Who), Melinda Gilb (Mama Who), Steve Gunderson (Papa Who), Eileen Bowman (Grandma Who), Phil Johnson (Grandpa Who), Emma Ford and Skylar Starrs Siben (Annie Who), Samantha Wang and Julia Way (Betty-Lou Who), Leif Erik Isaacson and Dylan Nalbandian (Boo Who) and Trevor Juliano Lermaand Lane Palhegyi (Danny Who).

Aaron Acosta, Liam James Brandt, Felicity Bryant, Dominique Castillo, Courtney Corey, Randall Dodge, Madeline Edwards, Anna George, Kyle J. Jackson, Samantha Littleford, Allison Ma, Kürt Norby, Karyn Overstreet, Lou Francine Rasse, Emma Rasse and Anise Ritchie round out the ensemble.

The original production of Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas! was conceived and directed by Jack O'Brien with original choreography by John DeLuca. This season's production features musical direction by Ron Colvard, additional choreography by Bob Richard and restaged choreography by James Vasquez. The Grinch creative team also includes John Lee Beatty (scenic design), Robert Morgan (costume design), Pat Collins (lighting design), Paul Peterson (sound design), Anita Ruth (orchestrator), Joshua Rosenblum (vocal arrangements and incidental music) and David Krane (dance music arranger).

The fifth annual Globe Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony will take place Nov. 21 at 6 PM on the Globe's Copley Plaza. The tree is designed by Grinch scenic designer John Lee Beatty, and will be located in the center of the Globe Plaza and will remain for the run of the show. This family event will feature a live performance by members of the Grinch cast and a holiday snowfall on the Globe Plaza. Tickets to this free event are limited but may be obtained by subscribers and are included with the tickets to the Nov. 21 performance at 4:30 PM.
