Directed by Jeremy Garelick, who wrote the script with Jay Lavender, the currently untitled film will follow Jimmy (Hart), who serves as a best man to grooms who do not have friends to fulfill that role. The groom will be played by Gad, who lies about his best man and his nine groomsmen.
Kaley Cuoco (“The Big Bang Theory”) will play Gad’s fiancee, while Affion Crockett will play one of the fake groomsmen. Thirlby will play Cuoco’s sister, who develops a crush on Hart’s character.
Thirlby's stage work includes Farragut North, and her film credits include "Juno," "The Darkest Hour" and "Dredd." Her TV credits include "Bored to Death."
Gad received a Tony nomination for his role in The Book of Mormon. His stage credits also include The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. His film work includes "Jobs" and "Love and Other Drugs," and his TV work includes "Modern Family," "The Daily Show With Jon Stewart" and "1600 Penn."
Hart's film work includes "This is the End," "The 40 Year-Old-Virgin" and "Death at a Funeral." His TV credits include "Modern Family," "Saturday Night Live" and "Let Me Explain."
