New York City Opera presents the in-depth discussion, which takes place on the set of Schwartz's musical Wicked. NYCO is set to stage the New York premiere of his opera Séance on a Wet Afternoon this spring.

Joining Schwartz, Kander (Chicago, Cabaret, The Scottsboro Boys) and Guettel (The Light in the Piazza, Floyd Collins) are Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter Rufus Wainwright (Prima Donna) and Tony-winning playwright and librettist David Henry Hwang (M. Butterfly, The Fly, Aida).

NYCO general manager and artistic director George Steel moderates the 7:30 PM discussion.

As previously reported, Schwartz's Séance on a Wet Afternoon will run April 19-May 1. The composer's son, director Scott Schwartz (Golda's Balcony, Jane Eyre, Rooms), will stage the opera that will feature soprano Lauren Flanigan.

For tickets to the discussion, priced $25, phone (212) 721-6500 or visit NYCOpera.
