Parsons portrays volatile family matriarch Violet Weston in Tracy Letts' Tony and Pulitzer Prize-winning family drama. The Broadway company also stars Guy Boyd, John Cullum, Johanna Day, Scott Jaeck, Brian Kerwin, Madeleine Martin, Michael Milligan, Dee Pelletier, Molly Regan, Samantha Ross, Amy Warren and Frank Wood.
Parsons earned an Academy Award for her role in the film "Bonnie and Clyde." She has been Tony-nominated for her work in Morning's at Seven, Miss Margarida's Way, And Miss Reardon Drinks a Little and The Seven Decades of Myrtle. She is also well known for her role on television's "Roseanne." Parsons has also been announced to head the cast of the national tour of August: Osage County when it launches in Denver in July.
