Boston's SpeakEasy Stage Company presents the world premiere of John Kuntz's one-man show Party Poopers, running in "conjunction junction" with the Boston premiere of Schoolhouse Rock Live!. Both run at the Boston Center For the Arts Theatre, Feb. 6-22.
Kuntz, who premiered his show Freaks! to great acclaim at SpeakEasy last year, will portray nine zany characters at a chic party celebrating a Pulitzer Prize-winning novelist.
Schoolhouse Rock Live!, a stage show created from a series of musical cartoons aired on Saturday mornings in the 1970's, originated in Chicago. A U.S. tour has inspired nostalgia in twenty-somethings across the U.S. Rock features songs by Broadway lyricist Lynn Ahrens.
