PBS is now streaming its New Year's Eve concert, New York Philharmonic New Year’s Eve: Bernstein on Broadway, a centennial tribute to the late, award-winning composer Leonard Bernstein. The celebration, which also aired on PBS stations around the country December 31, is hosted by six-time Tony winner Audra McDonald.
Joining the famed orchestra are four Broadway favorites: Tony winner Annaleigh Ashford (Kinky Boots, Sunday in the Park with George), Tony nominee Christopher Jackson (Hamilton), Tony nominee Laura Osnes (Bandstand, Cinderella), and Aaron Tveit (Next to Normal).
Bramwell Tovey leads members of the New York Philharmonic.
The concert features selections from Bernstein’s On the Town, Wonderful Town, West Side Story, and Candide, including “Maria,” “Tonight,” “Cool,” “Make Our Garden Grow,” and more.
