Returning to the Sao Paulo stage, Pearl Comedy by Mauro Rasi opens at The Jardel Filho Theatre Sept. 5. The prize-winning Pearl ran on the Sao Paulo stage throughout 1996. It received more than 15 awards, among them the "1996 Apetesp" for Best Play of the Year.
Directed by author Mauro Rasi this comedy portrays the typical daily life of a family from the Brazilian countryside. Topping the cast once again, TV and theatre star Vera Holtz plays a hilarious housewife whose universe revolves around a nauseating husband, their boring son-in-law and her gossipy sister.
