The Peking Acrobats are coming to the New Jersey Performing Arts Center in Newark for a single performance, Feb. 21. The troupe of 24 is world renowned for their breathtaking feats of agility, balance, coordination and showmanship -- which one critic called "an entertaining and instructive survey of the ancient Asian circus arts."

Among the group's best-known stunts are the "Lion Dance," "Pagoda of Chairs," "Human Pyramid," "Hoop Diving," "Balancing Fantasy," "Plate Spinning," "Hula Hoops" and "Feet Balancing."

The Peking Acrobats are a spinoff of the Great China Circus that was at the peak of its popularity in the 1920s.

The program is at 8 PM at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center, One Center St., Newark. For tickets, $10-$29, call (888) 466-5722.
