News Peter Pan, Movin' Out, Chicago Lead San Jose's American Musical Theatre Next Season American Musical Theatre of San Jose has announced its upcoming 70th anniversary 2004-2005 season which will include national tours of Peter Pan starring Cathy Rigby in her farewell performance, Billy Joel and Twyla Tharp's Movin' Out and Chicago along with Rent, Stomp and Cats.

Kicking off the season will be Cathy Rigby — known for her high-flying performance in the title role — playing the boy who wouldn't grow up one last time in her farewell tour of Peter Pan. The national tour staging will land in San Jose, Oct. 26-Nov. 7.

The Bob Fosse, John Kander and Fred Ebb show Chicago that became an Academy Award-winning movie comes to town, Jan. 1- 23, 2005.

AMTSJ will spearhead its own stagings of Michael Bennett's A Chorus Line (Feb. 22-March 6, 2005) and Frank Wildhorn and Leslie Bricusse's musical take on the Robert Louis Stevenson classic Jekyll & Hyde (April 12-24, 2005).

The season continues with Movin' Out (June 14-26, 2005), Jonathan Larson's Rent (Sept. 21-26), the Off-Broadway bangin' sensation Stomp (March 15-20, 2005) and Andrew Lloyd Webber's Cats (May 10-15, 2005).
