Classic Arts News Philadelphia Orchestra Continues Free Neighborhood Concert Series Tonight in Chestnut Hill The Philadelphia Orchestra gives the second of its 2007 Neighborhood Concerts tonight on Pastorius Park in the city's Chestnut Hill neighborhood.
The free outdoor performance, conducted by Philadelphia Orchestra Associate Conductor Rossen Milanov, begins at 7 p.m. The program includes Beethoven's Leonore Overture No. 3, Tchaikovsky's Symphony No. 5 and, in honor of Independence Day, the Variations on "America" by Charles Ives.

This is the first Philadelphia Orchestra Neighborhood Concert to be given in Chestnut Hill.

The Orchestra gives three free Neighborhood Concerts each summer in local parks in Philadelphia and vicinity. The final performance in this summer's series, which is presented by Wachovia, will be on Saturday, July 21 in Clark Park in the University City neighborhood of West Philadelphia.
