News Philadelphia's Venture Gets Solis' El Paso Blue in 1999-2000 The Venture Theatre of Philadelphia will open its 1999-2000 season with Octavio Solis' El Paso Blue, an examination of the confused and complex relations between Anglo and Latino cultures in America. The story focuses on a love triangle made up of a Mexican man, his father and a blonde beauty queen. It's a set-up both dramatic and comedic.

The Venture Theatre of Philadelphia will open its 1999-2000 season with Octavio Solis' El Paso Blue, an examination of the confused and complex relations between Anglo and Latino cultures in America. The story focuses on a love triangle made up of a Mexican man, his father and a blonde beauty queen. It's a set-up both dramatic and comedic.

Artistic director Tlaloc Rivas will direct. El Paso Blue runs Nov. 9 Dec. 5.
