Marc Bruni directed this year's gala, entitled Heart and Soul: The Legacy of Frank Loesser, which boasted the talents of Harry Connick Jr., Megan Mullally and Kelli O'Hara. In addition to celebrating Loesser's iconic scores for shows such as Guys and Dolls, How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, The Most Happy Fella and Where's Charley?, the evening also paid tribute to the companies he created: Music Theatre International and Frank Music Corp.
