News PHOTO CALL: Andrew Weems in A Behanding in Spokane at the Alley Theatre Andrew Weems is the mysterious man in search of his left hand in the regional premiere of Martin McDonagh's dark comedy A Behanding in Spokane, which began performances Aug. 27 at the Alley Theatre in Houston, TX.

Alley resident company member James Black directed Behanding, which officially opened Sept. 1 and will run through Sept. 26 on the Neuhaus Stage.

The cast features Weems as the menacing Carmichael; Chris Hutchison as odd hotel night manager Mervyn; with Sean-Michael Bowles as Toby and Emily Neves as Marilyn, the young couple caught in the middle of a deal gone wrong.

According to the Alley, "The mysterious, gun-toting Carmichael has been searching for his missing left hand for decades. Enter two bickering lovebirds with a hand to sell, and a hotel clerk with an aversion to gunfire, and we're set for an uproarious ride of love, hate, desperation and hope."
