An expected 50,000 fans turned out to watch hosts Wayne Brady (Chicago) and Christy Carlson Romano (Beauty and the Beast) sing and dance along with the representatives from the casts of nearly every production currently on the boards of the Great White Way. Some of those who performed included Wicked's ever dazzling witches Jennifer Laura Thompson and Tony-winner Idina Menzel, Little Women's Sutton Foster, Brooke Shields and Nancy Anderson as the small-town-turned-big-time sisters of Wonderful Town, and the cast of Hairspray, led by current Edna Michael McKean.
