The 10:15 AM ceremony featured performances by the cast of Forbidden Broadway Dances With the Stars!, including an appearance by the revue's long-running signature character, "Adult Annie" as portrayed by Gina Kreiezmar.
Bensonhurst native Butler took part in the official ribbon-cutting, declaring the booth open for business.
Also on hand were Commissioner of Cultural Affairs Kate D. Levin, Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz, Assemblywoman Joan Millman (52nd Assembly District, Brooklyn, NY) and City Council Member David Yassky (33rd District).
TKTS Downtown Brooklyn is located outside of the Jay Street-Borough Hall station of the A, C and F trains, near the Court Street – Borough Hall station off the M, R, 2, 3, 4, 5 trains, and the Lawrence Street station of the M and R trains.
The booth will be open Monday-Friday from 11 AM-6 PM and will sell tickets to same-day evening performances and next-day matinee performances. TKTS Downtown Brooklyn will accept cash, credit cards and travelers checks. Here is a look at the morning event:
