Bye Bye Birdie stars John Stamos, Gina Gershon, songwriters Charles Strouse and Lee Adams and more cut the green ribbon to open Roundabout Theatre Company's newest Broadway theatre, the Henry Miller's Theatre, July 28.
The new 1,055-seat house on West 43rd Street is located behind the preserved and restored façade of the original 1918 venue.
Roundabout will present a revival of the musical Bye Bye Birdie starting Sept. 10 (officially opening Oct. 15) as the first production.
The ceremony was held July 28 evening. The stars of Bye Bye Birdie cut the symbolic green ribbon (as the house is the first fully sustainable Broadway theatre) on the day of their first rehearsal.
