News PHOTO CALL: Chicago Embraces Its Fans With Free Performance on Jan. 30 Barry and Fran Weissler, the producers of the Tony-winning revival of Chicago, announced last fall that the Jan. 30 performance of Chicago would boast a full house made up entirely of Facebook fans who would all attend the show free of charge.

The Facebook Fan Day promotion launched virally on Nov. 15, 2010. In order to participate, any Chicago Facebook fan who signed up and recruited ten of his or her friends to "Like" Chicago on the social networking site received a free ticket to the Jan. 30 performance. The promotion ended once every seat for the matinee had been distributed, ensuring a house full of fans for the performance.
