Schulman stars as Valjean, with Wagner (Into the Woods) as Javert and Kennedy (Sunset Boulevard) as Fantine. Kennedy's daughter Riley is making her professional debut in the production as Fantine's child, Cosette.
All three adult principal actors appeared in the Broadway cast of Les Misérables.
Running Feb. 11-23, 2014, at the Raleigh Memorial Auditorium, Les Misérables is directed by Dave Clemmons. Musical direction is by Edward G. Robinson. Actress Kennedy also serves as the artistic director at Theatre Raleigh. Also featured are English Bernhardt as Eponine, Julie Benko as Cosette, Alison Cimmet as Mme. Thenardier, Charlie Brady as Enjolras, Bruce Landry as Marius, Dirk Lumbard as Thenardier and Reed Shannon as Gavroche.
The cast is completed by Whit Baldwin, Nick DeVito, Karrah Diane Fleshman, Justin Gaab, Lisa Jolley, Max Korn, Colin Liander, Katie Lynch, Christopher Manley, Wesley Miller, Ian Parmenter, Morgan Parpan, Joe Spieldenner, Jeffrey Scott Stevens, Joe Torello, Meagan Mackenzie Chieppor, Trey Fitts, Morgan Goodman, Carly Grissom, Kendelly McCarthy, Ahmad Ratliff, Lydia Tart, Collin A. Yates, Adele Baldina, Addie Ruth Fornes, Joseph Gaitens and Caroline Lipson.
The production will include Bernstein’s incidental music for Lillian Hellman’s adaptation of The Lark, and Menotti’s The Unicorn, The Gorgon, and The Manticore.
